Givenchy for H&M Collaboration Coming in 2013?

The new Maison Martin Margiela with H&M collection has just released last week and the rumors have already started about the next big collaboration by the Swedish fast retailer.

It sounds like some first rumors have come from inside Givenchy that they might be the next big fashion house to go mass market with H&M. Will we be seeing Rotteilers all over town now?

We will know more next year.

The New Era of Fashionable DJs

Dutch fashion designer Maartje Dijkstra who previously wooed the fashion world with her seductive design for Studio Roosegaarde's first Intimacy dress is now challenging DJs with an interactive and high fashion approach to controlling tracks.

Her latest design called DENZIPFADEN combines fashion, music and technology in an atmospheric, baroque and dark men's outfit that allows the DJ to change the volume of your music and add samples -or anything else that you might do with a midi controller- by pulling on the six golden zippers on the suit and a bracelet. The suit is handcrafted out of golden silk/polyester wires and costume made golden zippers.

The project was developed together with DJ and electronic composer Beorn Lebenstedt (also known as Newk), who developed and improved the technology and wrote music for the suit.

Mood of the season: FUR!

Fur in general is the trend that just won’t die. This fall it was practically impossible to find a fur-free runway.

Coats, vests, stoles... in every shade and texture imaginable.

Real or faux, is one of the easiest ways to glam up a look. Are you ready to glam up yours?

Get ahead with a HAT!

Hats are the biggest - sometimes literally - accessory for party season this winter, so don't be afraid to stand out.
When it comes to styles, it's about getting ahead with a statement piece. Look to Mark Jacobs fro a masterclass - in his show, each model worn a larger-than-life hat. A little bit Edwardian, and a lot of fun, that's one way to go right now. Other styles are also on the hatstand, though - try a 1940s-style film noir shape worn over one eye, great for after dark glamour, at Giorgio Armani. Elsewhere, baker boy styles, caps and cloches turned up at Lacoste and Ralph Lauren.

My advice? Try them all out and find the one that suits you just so. One thing is for sure - it's hats off to hats this season babes!
